Are the DCZ's being enforced? Are there any fees for the Con? I haven't been able to keep up with what is going on. Work and rig buildup have taken all of my time, but since i am almost ready to go I don't want to break any new rules I'm not aware of.

As of right now there are no Designated Camping Zones or Fees on the Rubicon Trail.
A permit will be needed for a fire or if you plan to hike in to the Desolation Wilderness area.
When choosing a camping spot please stay well away from lakes and streams with your vehicles. There is a closure around Spider Lake for vehicles but not for camping or use of the lake. There should be signs posted there.
Tread Lightly, burn only downed wood, clean up after yourself and use a toilet system that allows you to pack it out. Yes, pack everything out! Search here for info about W.A.G. bags and P.E.T.T. toilets.
More information is available the the Kiosk at the spillway from Loon Lake.
Be safe, have fun and be considerate of others.

Thanks Simple Man. I have been to the Con many times before, and our group has always treaded lightly and never used it as a tiolet or trash can. I just wasn't sure about the new DCZ's or fees. glad to hear there aren't any.
