: FJ40 project update

I just got it back from the shop yesterday. I had to air down to 1# and load up the bed with my spare sm420, t/c, six cases of wine and two neighbors sitting on the rear in order for the cage to clear the garage door by a 1/4 inch. The cruiser sits at about 82” and the garage door header is at 76”.

Recent mods: 350 TBI, power steering, 6 point cage. I can’t say enough about the expert craftsmanship of Roggy Enterprises. Bobs work is truly top notch.

Things needed before its trail ready: Wire up the chassis, t/c linkage & throttle cable.

Things need to be street legal: Who fawkin cares! I’ll sort all that out after my 1st CHP encounter, hahaha.

It is really that tall???

My SO on 38.5's is only 83" tall...

Looks good though!!!

Now you get to add some dents and scratches :D

Well my measurements on the height might be a little off (I had a few brews by the time I got home) let's just say it's >80" but I was more concerned with how low I could sink it so that it would clear the garage. The cage does sit above the windshield frame by an inch or 2.

Scratches & dent's are the next mods for sure...

Bout damn time Keith! I was checkin it out a couple weeks back at Bob's shop, looks real sharp! And yeah, his cage is a good deal higher than the average cage.

You betcha Andy but weather permitting (remember 2 years ago) will determine which rig I'm in. The cruiser will be my 1st choice though.
