I want to do the SOA but don't have the cash to buy new springs, any other springs for that matter. I have a set of stock springs that have had the shortest leaf on the bottom removed and an add-a-leaf from Downey installed. Can i just remove the stupid add-a-leaf and use the springs as they are without the short bottom leaf?

One last question- How important is it to use a shackle reversal on the front? I have the old old one from LCAH that sticks out and likes rocks and was thinking about just removing it. What else could I use up front? The punch through the frame with the shackle at the back of the front spring I already have the parts for so what I am wondering about is how to do the front of the front spring without those big rock finders from the correction kit.Make any sense?

just use the the original hangers. They are low profile and you already have em so they are the cheapest option. remove them from the stock location, box your front frame horns, reverse shacckles and get back wheelin.

stock springs are great for SOA and if you are staying w/ stock axles the SOA will give you all the lift you want. check out ih8mud.com tech section.

f-150 springs have r cheap n have been talked about alot on this board. do a search I asked for some answers about these last week,
