Thanks For All the input. Ihave been wheelin the shit out of my jeep, me and my friends were going practically everyday for about a month now (until my clutch cable broke the other morning on the way to school - in the rain:mad: ). Ive got a good bit of experience from my dad taking me wheelin also, so I know a good bit about my jeep (and my comealong). Here's what shes got. 232 i6, T18 and d20 (I think), d30 front d44 rear (the narrow trac axles) warn hubs, no working gauges, and some road tires (that come along has paid for itself a few times over). I dont know what gears are in the axles. Ive almost rolled that jeep quite a few times already. So I definitely think some wider axles would be great if I go to 35's or 38's. The engine is pretty solid, so Id like to keep it if possible, but I think that the drivline will just die if I go to tires that big. Is there any truck whos transmission will bolt up to my engine, so I could just swap everything (transfer case, axles) at once from one truck. We mostly drive through mud, but we go to uwharrie sometimes and plan on going to tellico after I fix up my jeep. For suspension, can I do an soa with stock (cheap) springs from another vehicle (mine arent too flexy at all.)?
Thanks,
I know Im shouldnt be asking questions like this that arent that hardcore, but I dont know where to start.
Ill try to keep the softcore:question: questions to a minimum in the future.

I'd be happy to dispose of that weak little T-18 / D20 combination for ya.

You want to keep the T-18 and D-20. there are few tranny transfer cases combos out there that are stonger.

Wider, eh? I'd look at picking up 1ton J-truck or Chevy axles. Won't be cheap, but would be plenty stought.
