lost interest in this project so it's up for sale. I'm the second owner of this jeep. my father bought it new so I have been around this thing my whole life.


1974 CJ5 with FI 258 to T18 to Dana 20

original 258 has been rebuilt and has holley pro-jection on it(3000 miles on it now)Runs good lots of low end tourque.

stock T18 tranny with low first gear

stock Dana 20 t-case

Dana 44 front axle out of wagoner. Disc brakes.61" wheel mount to wheel mount. 4:88 gears with full detroit. 760 spicer joints wht stock shafts.6x5.5 lug pattern

toyota rear axle 58.5" wheel mount to wheel mount.4:88 gears with full detroit.big drum breaks and 6x5.5 lug pattern

Rancho 9000 allthe way around

20 gallon after market fuel tank

TJ fender flares

seats out of 92 frod escort

costom made front and rear bumpers

yellow top battery

body is rino lined inside and under

exterior has been repainted with a 69 chevy hugger orange at a body shop

***choice of tires***

35x12.5x15 MTR's with 90% tread on alumimum 15x10 wheels

or for $500 more

36x13.5x15 radial Iroks with 90% tread with 15x10 steel crome spoke wheels

Looking to get $6000 obo or $6500 with Iroks.This thing has been completely restored. new floorpans,fenders and frame has been boxed. It has been sitting for a year now with no use on it at all but a couple trips around town. it can sit for weeks and it fire right up first try. I have had this rig on the rubicon a couple of times and it dose really well.

The jeep is located in Northern Nevada(winnemucca). I now have a tow rig and trailer os for the right price I can meet half way(no more then 200 miles) or If you pay my expenses(fuel and motel) I will deliver to people in the west.

Update...

Would like to thank Dave in pulic , he was truly a stand up guy during this transaction. I have had very limited access to the Pirate board from over here this year (Afghanistan). I called Dave back in June or July to inquire about the CJ from way, way out in the middle of nowhere on a sat. phone. As a few days passed we agreed on a deposit and terms of the sale (all over the phone). A few months later its in my driveway waiting on my return. (Dave even delivered it to Ft Lewis,WA)

I was home for 2 weeks leave in late Nov and here is an update pic. i did as much wrenching/wheeling as 2 weeks would allow. (without the wife leaving me)

Again, many thanks Dave... we love the CJ. its not often that a deal could be made over the phone thousands of miles away.
