: what do you got in your wallet?
octane4brains 07-16-2005, 10:40 AM Hey, fellow newbies !! I just got done linking up the the rear (thanks to a generous freind, who shares the same desire to cut stock sh*t out and build our own). Anyways, its the same old story lots of dreams, no paper. We did the 4 links with intensions of up grading axles some day (hopefully sooner than later) ,but it seems I,m lightyears behind the dana 60's,stacked T C's,
39" krawlers and all the other "dream team" parts that get talked about all the time. I have a 95 wrangler with a 4 banger, 35"s. I was thinking an 8.8 in the rear, but I have'nt ran with anybody who's got that set up and there seems to be a difference in opion on that matter.I really dont know what I'll do in the front, so anybody got a rig that get through the trails time and time again with out a full blown rock buggy? Hope to here from you, picture are cooler. :smokin:
broncobuster37 07-16-2005, 10:59 AM whoa man, paragraphs are your friend...
octane4brains 07-16-2005, 11:16 AM Hey, bronco billy the or bronco "whatever" since you are such "the editor ", how about a three paragraph's about your rig? I assume it an early bronco. I suggest you take your time, this is p4x4 and I heard people cant wait to eat people up!!
broncobuster37 07-16-2005, 11:34 AM Well let's see, considering I have no money and my Bronco is busted (Note screenname), I don't feel that there is really much point, but here goes...
I have a 1984 Bronco (not an early, so sorry to dissapoint), with the I-6 engine. I have a 4" Rancho TTB lift (crap). It has a detroit locker up front and Limited Slip in the rear.
Other than that it is pretty close to stock, but it doesn't run right now anyway, so who cares. I'm currently working on rebuilding an old Dana 60 front axle. Wish I had something better to tell you about the rig, but I'm 17 and money doesn't grow on trees.
As for what's in my wallet, 40 bucks, a subway card, my license, and a debit card.

What exactly are you asking for? Are you asking if an 8.8 is a decent axle for you? Are you asking if anyone wheels a rig that isn't a buggy? Are you just whoring for pics of other people's rigs?
1) Yes, it's a good axle, better than what you have, but I don't have a clue what it takes to put it under your YJ.
2) Yes, most of us.
3) Search, there are probably HUNDREDS of pics threads of every shape and flavor.
YXwhenUcanFAB? 07-18-2005, 04:20 AM 8.8 out of an explorer fits well, if you can weld some perches on. try doing a search.
Booger Weldz 07-18-2005, 11:05 AM $43, an old condom, a fishing license, visa card, drivers license and a picture of your mom in some dirty undies :D

jonx4x4 07-18-2005, 12:47 PM An old outdated fishing liscene, drivers liscense, SS card, various other cards, a trojan condom, and lint.
StockChevy 07-18-2005, 01:41 PM A couple credit cards, liscences, some various business cards, a couple checks I still need to deposit, some reciepts from the day, and $24.
Shouldn't this be in Chit Chat?
hbar314 07-18-2005, 06:11 PM I have a couple of bucks and a credit card in my wallet.
I dont know how you could fit an 8.8 axle in your wallet.
CJesse7 07-18-2005, 08:28 PM i got a debit card, 2 credit cards, a clipped DL (just truned 25, i get a new one), insurance card, some girls phone number from this weekend (DAMN she was HOT!!!), and 85 bucks.
Tim Smith 07-19-2005, 08:25 AM 8.8 is fine for an axle but if you are all about cutting and fitting shiat. Than just go 3/4 or 1 ton and call it done. 35" tire and mild wheeling are the limit for an 8.8. If you like ford, go with a standard 9 inch in the back and put a currie 9" steering up front. Big money but you won't ever break it.
CCs, $30, some business cards, 3 pics, liscence and a scrap paper to with the contact info to an airplane propeller company.
Urban Wheeler 07-19-2005, 12:02 PM DL, SS card, Meijer gift card with less than a buck on it (Oops, I shouldn't have said that. Anybody want to bid on a Meijer gift card? :D ) expired debit card, and a biz card from work.
this is p4x4 and I heard people cant wait to eat people up!!
Go ask some stupid questions in the general forum.
