My bud is searching for his first Zuke. He is retiring and wants to tow this behind his diesel PU/camper rig. No hard-core wheeling expected. Mostly off-road would just be fire rods, dirt roads. Mostly he wants something light to tow but likes the 4x4 aspect too.

Please give me your opinion of such a California Zuke; he sent the following msg to me:

"what do you think the market value is for a stock '88 sami, one owner, 53,000 miles, running gear/engine in excellent condition, body/interior/soft top in very good condition?"

It's probably got another 150,000 to 200,000 miles in it.

hey george
I would think 1000 to 2500 asuming its actually 53,000 miles and not 153,000 miles

George,

If it is truely a CLEAN example, I have seen them go for over $3000 around here. I also have to doubt the miles on that one. Check the rubber pads on the pedals, and it they are warn to the metal, then tack on a 100,000 mile or more.

You know what all to look for on the Zuks. I have also seen some nice ones sell for $1500 and consider that a pretty good deal.

Not sure what you are asking though..
