here's some more dumb questions.
I did some searching.. if an hour straight is considered "some" and solved a lot, but here goes

first off, I'm using fullsize axles and have some jeep wagon wheels, this thing is rediculously wide Shocked I need narrower rims. which vehicle came with 15" 6x5.5 rims with a larger, or narrower offset?

next.
I'll need a fullsize chev transfer case. I'm going to get one off a truck with a 700r4 for ease of adaption. will my tailshaft bolt on, or if not, will my speedometer cable fit and be adjusted properly?
how have you all adapted the opposite drop t-case's shifter? I'm not afraid to junk the stock one and make something work

the 12 bolt uses a diferent U joint. it seems smaller than the s10, I've looked but cant seem to find a part # for the joint, or a part number for a combo joint that'll let me use my existing drive shaft

I'll be running 33's, so there's no worries with clearance, I'll just sawzall unitll they fit

thanks for the patience

first: you need to let us know what rig this is going on

second: toyota 4x4's have the same 6 on 5.5 lug pattern you need.

the 208 T-case came behind most 700r4's. it's a chain drive but still a good case.
I'm not 100% on the tail shaft.

at any rate you will need to have new d-shafts built.

ah, they're going under an s10 blazer, as it sits now, the tires are out of the fenders a good 8-10".. I can stand a bit of that (I'll throw some cutout flares on there) but this is excessive, and quite honestly, goofy looking :shaking:

I'll take a look at some toy rims at the junkyard and see what king od backspacing these come with..

thanks for the reply

Thats what your going to get with full width axles. You can do custom hummer H1 wheels, that will get the tire like 3 inches clsoer to the body, give or take a little.

The rims that I have now have about a 1" backspacing, yea, really wide.
I was looking though the rim catalogue at canadian tire, they have the american racing black steelies, with 4" offset, so pretty much a "centered" center. I'll keep looking for something narrower though. the H1 wheels... they're 15"?
