My buddy is wanting to buy my Mickey Thompson wheels from me- they are 15x8s. Will these fit on a new Rubicon, or are there any clearance issues? We looked at it and it looked fine but figured Id ask. Thanks

Here's an idea.... put one of the rims on the Jeep and see if it fits :flipoff2:

if he is that dumb i would sell him the tires and laugh.

the simplest search on even google would have revealed that rubishcon rims are 16"

well ok since we have intelligent smartasses present I will break this down. :flipoff2:

#1- it is easier to ask a simple question than meet up and try and fit wheels on each others vehicles. ;)

#2- i'm fairly positive I asked if 15" wheels would fit, not what size the stock wheels are. I know they are 16" wheels, if they were 15" stock we wouldnt be having this conversation would we?

I intended this to be a quick answer from nice, helpful people. If I want arrogant jokers I will surely ask for your presence in the thread. Thanks for your attendance anyway!...I guess.

what is the back spacing on those?

5 on 4.5 is stock IIRC

Since no one has givin a simple answer, Yes a 15x8 will fit on a Rubicon. The only thing that makes the stock 16" Rubicon rim special is the fact that it is 16" and it has an extra 1/2" backspacing.

i think the backspacing is 4.5 but im no 100% positive on that

Jesus christ. The god damn amount of missinformation between you fags is fawking incredible. If you are not 100% sure, don't answer the fawkin question.

Rubicon rims are 16x8 with 5" of backspacing. 5x4.5 BP

Yes, a 15" rim will fawking work. Why wouldn't it? Fawking think about it for even a second. Tell me one fawking reason why it wouldn't? Seriously, think.

Yes, this shit is stupid and should be moved to fawkin newbie. If even there.

God damn.

BTW... in case you haven't noticed. The PBB is not for SIMPLE FAWKING questions. If you want to ask simple questions, go to JU. (Or get off your lazy ass and see if the 15" rims will work by putting them on).

This is college level, not kindergarten.

Well lets see here. On the front of the vehicle, there are these neat braking assemblies called calipers and rotors. When putting a wheel over these part, you generally want to keep at least and inch and a half clearance. Also, since you are going to summon everyone to "think," Jeep putting a 16" wheel on a stock vehicle could be a nice big red arrow to the fact that a smaller wheel is not intended to fit- like other car manufacturers have done in the past (I'm going to assume you know everything about other cars to and rightfully so!) Whether the questions people ask on here are simple or complex, I believe the purpose of the board is to help people with their 4x4 vehicles, not spread sarcasim and show youre a douche bag. So now I say you think a little bit and get over yourself.. :shaking:

Ok, again, I said think.

What tire size does every other fawking TJ come out of the factory with?

A rubicon D44 uses Dana 30 outers, which are the same fucking thing for all TJ's.

So, think about it. Do you really think that a Rubicon, which uses the same brake caliper setup as any other fawking TJ made, is, for some reason, going to require a different wheel size?

Fawk. Take this shit to the Rubicon Owners Forum. Or try searching.

Put this shit in newbie tech where it belongs

shit like this is what clogs up the search button.

WHERE ARE THE MODERATORS?????

Well the whole reason for asking is because i dont keep up with jeep bullshit. I could care less. therefore, no, i wouldnt know what the caliper setups are like on jeeps. If i knew then I wouldnt be asking this question. I'm really happy for you that you know your jeep crap, but just get off your damn high horse and there wont be any problem.

obviously i need to. Lord forbid a person ask a question and get an answer without hearing shit from immature minds and mouths. Question gets asked, question gets answered objectively, everyone happy with contribution. I guess some expectations are too great- All hope is lost for you folks or so it seems.

I have been away (Baja 500 and other tasks) and I come back to this?

You are trying to sell S-10 wheels to some one with a Jeep Wrangler correct? Get the money and leave town before the sucker realizes that the S-10 has a different bolt pattern.

Only the facts.

Well, I will answer your question (if these wheels are from your s10), so this thread will die. An s10 has a bolt pattern of 5 on 4.75 and a TJ has a bolt pattern of 5 on 4.5 so unless you get an addapter they will not bolt up.
