i'm thinking about laying down a quality floor covering in my 30x30 garage. what the best that would provide a non-slip surface if wet?

Dont do floor coatings. They are a PITA. If you use a plasma and get slag on them or enough welding sparks get on the stuff, it screws it all up. also think about what brakefulid is going to do to it. Just lay down a layer of ULTRA smooth concrete. you know, the stuff thats like glass. now That is nice, and you dont need to worry about recaoting it.

i am in the same boat... we are buying a house and having it built while i am over here... so ill get home to a garage full of crap... and the first thing i would like to do is coat it.. ive read the posts... and did some research on my own.. and i have come up with...

U-Coat (http://www.ucoatit.com/ucoat.html) .... they say its supposed to hold up against welding..

anyone have this??? it's alittle pricey.. but i feel my garage is worth it.. :D
