I have a 1995 Chevy S10 pickup, 2WD, 4 cyl, 5 speed.... I went to charge my a/c, and bought a can of R134a, but the fitting doesn't work on the truck. I have a hose with a gauge, and just used it to charge my moms Honda, and I used it last summer on my old Dodge Neon, and my friends Exploder. No issues, everything worked fine. I looked at the trucks manual, and it says it uses R134a, not R12. I bought another hose and tried to hook up with that, and again, no go. I am also trying to hook it in the low side port where it should go, just an fyi. Is there a chance that I need an adapter? If so, what kind? I can't find jack about this issue, and it's starting to drive me crazy. Thanks!

It should be the same as any other 134 low-side connection. Is yours mounted on the accumulator? I just went and looked at my 95 S-10 blazer and that's where the low side is. Maybe you weren't holding your chin right? :D

On my truck, the low port is mounted on the left hand side of the engine, to the right of the coolant reservoir. My accumulator is to the right of the engine, in the front, near the air cleaner housing. It does not have ports on it.
