: 32 Spline bronco 20 case e-brake kit done!
onetoncv 03-06-2002, 12:09 PM just got done with this kit- it looks like a sweet upgrade for the 10 spline output early bronco's - the output shaft 32 spline does not look normal in comparison to the 20 case- but that is the weak link on those cases - no more! and we got a hold of the case to do our 1350 c/v flange and driveline brake - another one down - what's next? that's 9 cases we off this for- Jess:D
onetoncv 03-06-2002, 12:09 PM and another pic-

Aggro 03-06-2002, 12:16 PM Will the upgraded o/p shaft work on a jeep model 20? How much will the o/p shaft kit for the jeep 20 cost? I want one! What is the diameter of the 32 spline shaft? How much stronger than the 26 spline??
jeepnmatt 03-06-2002, 12:34 PM oneton, do you do your own machine work? i'm getting ready to build some CJ high pinion D44s and want to do my own axle re-splining. i'll be doing this in a VMC (Tree) vertical machining center with a Haas rotary table. so, i'm looking for a spline cutter that i can run horizontally. can i do this with a carbide cutter without annealing the shafts? or should i have them annealed, spline 'em, and re-heat treat them. thanks for any info! also, any idea what material the Dana spindles are made of? i'm guessing 4140... matt
onetoncv 03-06-2002, 12:38 PM i'll check into that - its 1.400 32 spline i'd say its 35% stronger than the 26 spline - i have yet to see with my eye's a broken 205 spline - there damn tough to break-
LOPPY 03-06-2002, 12:38 PM I'm with Aggro Jess. I gots me onea dem dere Heap 20's. If it'll work, email me with a quote. Thanks! Very interested!!
onetoncv 03-06-2002, 12:41 PM i'm not doing the machine work on the output shaft here- just the flange and e-brake kit - but as for the splining and various cutters and anealing - i'd be careful cutting your own - i have seen other companys respline axles and not heat treat the splines and they end up breaking or twisting - its a damn art to get it right- good luck- Jesse
Aggro 03-06-2002, 01:07 PM So, will it work on a jeep dana 20? If so, as above, please email me a price! Thanks!
66CJdean 03-06-2002, 01:10 PM I need upgraded output's for the 18 so get on it! That whole setup looks sweet Jess.
ol John Henry 03-06-2002, 01:11 PM Nice hunka metal
You gonna make something like that for the short snout D300
I would buy that
welndmn 03-06-2002, 02:02 PM Yup, i am about 99.9% postive that the jeep will work, the only differance is the Bronco one has a bore on the inside of some gooft intermitate shaft, then jeep does not have that shaft so it is solid.
They are the same Leghtn, use the same bearing, and so on, so to answer the question yes it will work

So does it use an aftermarket o/p shaft housing, or do I slip on some new bearings and throw it into my std hsg? I was under the impression it came with a housing...
LOPPY 03-06-2002, 02:27 PM Thanks Mark. Thought they'd be the same.
Aggro, from what I know about the stout 32 spline jobby from Wild Horses it uses a stock output housing. They sell them assembled and do it yourself. The assembled one requires a core I believe. Check it out...

welndmn 03-06-2002, 03:04 PM You use your stock housing, you just pound in new races and and slap on new bearings
check it out

jslater 03-07-2002, 07:26 AM I know that i will have to shorten my driveshaft but will my CV work with your flange. What is the diameter of the brake rotor? (measurment for floor board clearance). Any suggestions on a lever to use to operate the brake? Thanks.
onetoncv 03-07-2002, 08:23 AM actually the measurement is very close not much longer at all- its an illusion - the diameter of the rotor is 9 3/8 - no larger than your case- the caliper is made for a machanical cable or lincage opperation- and you do have to run our 1350 c/v on it- its a package deal- hope this helps- jess
