86 22r replaced with a 85 22r [Archive]

I Replaced My 86 Model 22r Standard Shift 4x4 With A 85 Model 22r Automatic. I Am Having Problems With The Wiring. Every Thing Went Great Until The Last Plug In The Wiring Harness, Which I Think Went To A Neutral Safty Switch On The Automatic 22r. My Pick Up Will Only Start When I Jump Across The Wiring In The Fuse Panel Under The Hood. I Have Lights And Everything Else But Nothing When I Turn The Key. Can Anyone Tell Me How To Wire Around Or Get Juice To The Plug That Goes To My Starter To Make It Hot. Thanks And I Am Desperate. The Dr.

What about the clutch switch under the dash, did you remove the pedal?
I REMOVED IT AND TIED THE WIRES TOGETHER.
