I picked up a 84 SJ410 Santana and the TC was removed and partially disassembled in the back.
I tore it down and inspected everything with my limited Zuk knowledge and the manual.
Found the shifter stuck and the rods were jammed. No shifter sheet at all just the square o-ring.
i assume the TC got jammed and the guy could not get it out of gear or neutral.
I got it all back together and shifting but i'm still waiting on the shifter sheet to get in.

My question is, when I go to 4wd low the shifter hits the ring before it will completely engage. I'm hoping the new shifter sheet will raise the shifter up enough to allow it to go in, but if not, will any of the Zuk TC shifters fit this TC?
If so I could locate one back in the states and just have it shipped. Assuming the PO really cranked on this thing trying to get it out of gear. The ball on the end looked pretty chewed up!!

My Italian is not working yet so I have not ventured into the salvage yards over here yet!!

I must say the power out of the little 970cc engine leaves a lot to be desired going up hill!! :D
I might have to find me a doner VW turbo diesel!!
