YZF-R6 vs YZF600R?

Whats the differences between the two bikes? specs? which would be better for mostly riding on the streets? Comfort?

I've ridden both, and used to ride a YZF1000R with most of my friends Riding R1's

Although they are 1000cc not 600cc, they are basically the same designs.

The YZF600R is a pretty comfy bike by sportbike standards, much better suited for a daily ride, and definately capable off being a very fast ride, that can outhandle most riders.

The R6 is a SPORTBIKE!! Period, Comfort is not an issue, Lightwieght and 10000+rpm power IS!! It is faster, lighter, smaller, and more uncomfortable. Pretty awesome for a 600 too!:D

Personally I would get the R6, and live with the uncomfort for the added performance.

But in all reality maybe 10% off all riders are good enough to actually need that extra edge. The other 90% (including me) can't come close to utilizing the standard YZF's capabilities.

Thanks for your input, I think the 600R may be better for me since I have never ridden sport bikes before, only dirt bikes.
