NP208 swap with NP242HD

Hi,

I can receive an hammer tranny (242HD) and I wonder about swaping my NP208.
I have 86 K30 with 350, TH400HD, NP208.
My first question, if you guys know, does its front output is driver side or passenger side ?
beside that what are the pro's and con's ?
full time insted of part time ?
lack of installing automatic locker up front ? (maybe with open hubs ?)

well,
I dont think i will use it since i understood that its output is on driver side and i dont think its worth trying to rotate it...180 degrees. :smokin:

or just get a high pinion front axle

Does it mean that i need to replace my new front D60 again ?? No 10x... :-)

1991 they ran 242 HD's that were passenger side drop (only year and in 3/4-1 tons only). I have one for sale actually along with the 4L80E...
