I have an 04 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins 600.

So I just got 315's and I want to put on a leveling kit.

I have been looking at the KORE and Skyjacker springs.

Anyone wanna quote what they paid for the KORE kit?

I read somewhere that I would need a new alignment. It make sense but I just want to see what others with actual experience are saying.

I've been looking at the Kore PACE kit for a while for my 03 dually. It's around $1500, they used to sell a just the leveling kit which was springs and front shocks for around $500 but they don't list it anymore so I'm not sure whats going on there... Yes you will need an alignment and your front axle will be off center a bit due to the factory unadjustable track bar but I'm sure you can figure something out for that. I'm going to build a new adjustable one and install it at the time and have it aligned to stock.

sounds like a good idea to me, get deaver to make some progressive rate coils, then machine the upper coil tower thing, get some BBCS and valve them for a 3/4 ton truck, and then call it done

sounds like a really good plan, make it about half the price of the KORE kits and it would make many of us happy

Thanks for the info. Jason, that info makes me want to call them. I dont even want the shocks. It's gotta be like $300 for the springs. That is well worth it from what I have read so far.

I also looked at my truck tonight and the panhard is pretty flat so I'm not going to worry about it unless it drives like shit. Also the upper and lower links are pretty parallell and the same length. There shouldnt be much (if any) caster change. Maybe I'll take measurments before and after.

to the rest of you fawkers :flipoff2:

Richie when are you gonna be here. I want to get my new tires on and your new BBCS's on before pismo. Getting stuck and driving slow will be things of the past!

tell us how much the coils run you, and ask them how much the upper shock bucket would run

I put the SJ D25's on my CC long bed CTD... Springs only ran like $150 and shocks another $50 for Pro-Comp shocks... Better ride than before and took some of the expansion joint bounce out of the freeway ride. Before, the front springs would bottom out on anything and the rears would make you taste the windshield. I've yet to bottom the D25's out and I've put the truck slightly in the air. Rears are still a bit over reactive... ERRR, non-reactive  .

I put D25s on mine. They better then the factory but mind the sway bar, mine is worn out now, maybe its just one of those things with the front end of my truck. How would I know if it was the Skyjackers or not. But I like them.

Are you looking for coils or would you go for spacers, guy I live by has 315s and spacers, looks alright.

Well KORE doesnt work on fridays and none of the venders listed on their website could help me.

So I just ordered my self a set of skyjackers. I am a dealer for them so they were CHEAP! Now I just need to order some edelbrock shocks to go with them.

Hope the red springs dont look too :rainbow: on my truck

KORE does not sell individual pieces of their kits. yeah, people think they are pricey, but don't get the time and effort that went into designing these systems.
They did have a price increase recently, the first since they came out with their products long ago.

The kits utilize the same springs, just different shock setups for what you use the truck for.
The PACE is an awesome kit, and the ride quality is unparalled by any of the competitors. Take a real close look at the D25's. For the same amount of lift, there is half the spring windings. And those are supposed to be progreassive rate like the KORE springs. Don't thnk so.
I've installed several of these kits on trucks, the results speak for themselves.

You want a smooth controlled ride on any road surface, nothing compares. You want to go flying down a dirt road with bumps rocks at 80MPH and get airborne, sorry, no other kit is going to handle it like the RACE system. The CHASE is a good mix of in-between both areas.

The kits come with everything, including drop brackets for the sway-bar. The more expensive kits come with the steering stabilizer and limit straps, too. The price of their systems only went up 10%, but are packaged complete, not partial. Kent knows what works. Make up your own mind, just trying to give a little fact from someone using the product, that has used the other stuff out there. Did you try calling Greg at http://www.desertracingconcepts.com, he's usually open on Friday. and check out the pics on his website, that truck is 4 feet off the ground in that one air shot.

I do not doubt those kits are worth the money. And I agree that the SJ springs wont keep up. I will probably buy a KORE kit down the road. I need something for now and my truck is a tow rig, not a jumper. I have a cheap ass, beat down toy for offroad.

I did call DRC and he told me to call KORE if I wanted to try and buy just springs.

What about those old spacers farva stole from richie?

and the only problem you will have from the lift is the axle will be shifted about .75" over.

I ran it about 50k miles that way with no adverse effects.

I will take before and after pics.

I will also attempt to measure the change in caster between the 2.
As well as axle side shift.

lemmie know how the Edelbrock's work out I have been debating them for a while

I have the D25's on my 02 with 315 bfg's and I dont know if its my funky tierod/draglink combo or just blown bilistiens (from autozone) but if I hit a pothole my steering feels funky

I think its a combo of both? but I here through the grapevine that the edelbrock shocks work good :D

from my experience most of the lifted dodges, 1500-3500 all have a funky feel to the steering, thats just my opinion

Its the walk in the sector shaft of the steering box, pushing wider tires with a bigger scrub radius.

Have you driven one with a DSS brace on it?

I have seen the brace and I have also seen the 98 tie rod conversion

the solid tie rod from knuckle to knuckle with drag link to tierod seems to work better than the drag link to passenger knuckle tie rod from driver knuckle to drag link setup

So I got the tires on and they fit without a problem. They also work much better offroad, look better and finally I'm not at 2500 RPM when going 80.

I dont think I am going to install the springs.
