I thought all 32/36 DGAV's would be the same, well I geuss I was wrong, or maybe im just missing something. Anyways, I bought this carb on e-bay thinking it would fit and it doesnt, is this the way all teh Webers are? Also, if I were to make an adapter does it matter that the throttle bores dont exactly line up in the intake and carb? Here are some pictures for reference.

1)looks like the wrong adaptor.
2)looks like it's missing the cable mount.
3)don't look like it has a water choke on it.
the two i have a number of DGAV33B1 on them, think the one you have is a electric choke????

The one I have is electric choke, I know its missing the cable mount, but Im not too sure about the adapter, the stock samurai gasket is laying on the carb for size reference in the pictures.

You need to buy the correct adapter. That carb will work. Most people machine out the stock intake manifold to open up the holes between the carb and intake mounting surface.

Don't mess about making an adapter, get your Weber stuff ( and advice ) from Sarge @ http://www.performancewebers.com !!!!!

Thats the right one. The adapters...it takes two...angle from the base to meet the intake. Sarge says to stay away from the 1-piece adapter...they crack...not a good thing. Weber Redline, Sarge, or any one who deals w/ Weber stuff (VW shop?) can get the adapters.

hmmm- lemme see here. Actually it's not exactly right, but should work. The correct one fer a zook has the H20 choke. But then again, I ready to cut the plumbing and go with a manual choke.
