I'm in the process of installing my calipers and hard brake lines on my 8.8 and I have 2 questions.

1. The end of the soft brake hose that attaches to the caliper has a hollowed out side and a flat side. Which side faces towards the caliper?

2. What's the proper order for the bronze washers? (Both my new calipers and soft brake hoses came with new washers. Do I use all four or just two?)

On standard calipers all I've seen are two. Not sure about which side faces what though.

The copper or aluminum crush washers should sandwich the banjo fitting, one on each side. These assure that you get a good seal between the banjo bolt and the fitting and the fitting and the caliper. These should be replaced whenever a line is removed for any reason. It's your brakes, not really worth saving $.50 if you ask me.

As for the groove in the banjo fitting, I'm not 100% sure what it looks like however I would think that it should face away from the caliper, towards the head of the banjo bolt. The reason I think this is because if the groove is deeper than the crush washer is thick, you're going to have major issues getting the line to seal against the caliper.

Flat side of the fitting goes against the caliper (bolt head in "hollowed out" (or recessed) side).
