ok i have an 02 ext. cab 4x4 chevy s10 with a 4.3

i just bought a set of BFG long trails and wheels directly off an 01 (i think) ZR2 blazer. two are 100% tread the other 3 are 80%.

the brakes on my truck were very good and the abs was just right. but the 31s kinda killed that and it seems like the front grabs more then it should. i have rear disks by the way.

is the abs on my truck different then the zr2? if so can i swap to make my abs brake like it should? and i also would like to know if the brakes were beefed up to handle the bigger tires.

is there anything else that i can take off this zr2? dont they have a hotter chip in them also?

thanks

I dont think the abs is any different you probable need to have the pcm and abs moduel in you truck programed with the snew tire size. Having a smaller tire size in the abs module will cause reduced braking. Your local dealer should be able to reprogram your abs and pcm for you, this program should only take about 1/2 hour. Should be able to have the modules programed for about 100 dollars. You could possible take the electronic brake module off of the parts trucks motor pack and try installing it on your truck, the program in it should have the bigger tires and improve braking. My .02$ :grinpimp:
