I thought I would put my new build up in Pirate. I always read this board, but I almost never post here. Sometimes, it's just better to keep your mouth shut and learn what you can. Anyways, thanks for all the the tech I get from here.
I had a 87' Blazer I was building up and was having lots of fun at Barnwell with. I was running 38" SX's on a D60 and 14 bolt with 4:10 gears. Detroit in the back and welded in the front. Ak-57 springer sup. in the back and 52" in the front. Lots of fender timming and some half doors. There are more mods., but that is the highlights. Here is a pic (http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/Nocona-2-12-04/Nocona_1_12_05_021)

To make a long story short. I killed the frame on the 87' Blazer. Never seen anything like it before. Right in front of the rear front spring hangers the frame gave up the ghost on both side. It was so bad I had to cut the frame into so I could get my motor and the rest of my drive train out.

Not the happiest day of my life. What I did was ride around looking in peoples back yards and patures untill I seen an old Jimmy that had been used for parts. The guy was into 4x4's and had took the drive train and axles off it. I wrote then a note and dropped it off there mail box. He called me back and I told him what I was looking for. (just something I could swap all my stuff to) He said if I would haul it off I could have it. He only had about five trucks out there he had got for parts and was happy to have someone take it. I think his wife was even happer. :)

Come to find out, when he took the old motor out he unplugged everything. So, this might end up being a little easier swap than I thought. After I got the new jimmy I got lucky and picked up this D60. It is loaded. OTT high steer arms, Detroit locker, BTF diff cover, 5:13's, Warn drive flanges, 1350 yoke, 35 spline outers and no neck down inners, new brakes and all new seals.

Got the Jimmy home and jacked it up in the air so I could work on it. First I start on the front. I put a set of 52" springs in the front and got my D60 ubder there. Right now I'm in the middle of adding 56" springs in the back. I'm using the front back springs hangers off the old Blazer to do my shackle flip with.
