I have the stock mirrors on my FJ55 and I like the fact that they are stock and are cool because they are unique and original but... they are worthless! Especially when wheeling, I have to open my door sometimes just to see what's behind me.

Any suggestions without bolting on big ass truck mirrors from Schucks and making my door into swiss cheese?

I like the mirrors on my Dodge Dakota and the wifes Expedition because they fold in and back if they smack something or if I need clearance, but they would be a pipe dream.

Use the later FJ40 mirrors that have the 5x7" mirror heads. Looks like they belong on the truck and the aftermarket ones are pretty cheap at various L/C places...they fold in too...
