Funny you ask....I have the pictured light ordered for testing. It was manufactured to be a reverse light but specs from the manufacturer are vague. I will test one ASAP and post aeriel photos of the light penetration.

The reverse lights I have coming are 4" and put out 270 lumens. They are the brightest DOT approved LED reverse lights made. In comparison the 4" stop/tail/turn lights I sell put out 70 lumens...AND THEY ARE BRIGHT!!! I'll post pics of them soon!

I received the White Dragon reverse lamps and THEY ARE BRIGHT!! The construction is different than our other LEDs. The back of the lamp is made of cast aluminum. I had planned to take an aeriel photo to show them off but it's pouring down rain. I did set a pair up in the shop which is 50' wide and they lit up the far wall. The only down side to them is the price...they sell for $62.95 ea.

Yes Sir, 4.5" hole. The body panels on my rig are made of .050 aluminum. Please post pics of your install!!

Any pics of the backup lights on at night ? I was thinking of the bling HID backup lights but this is definitely cheaper!

The White Dragons are the brightest LED reverse light made and the only DOT approved one.
I have taken pics in the past and here's the story. With my Canon S1 in auto mode and no flash the pics didn't show but about half of the actual light. I can adjust the camera to make the light look as bright as I want...even the appearance of aircraft landing lights. I never felt any of the pics gave an accurate representation so I aborted the mission. I think an aerial view would be the only way and I just havent had a manlift and a dark place to take those pics. In our showroom they reflect off of the wall 50' away very well. If you look directly into them from 50' away you will see stars. If anyone is not happy with them we would gladly take them back. To date: zero returns.

Given that the working voltage on all the other LED's is up to 36V I'd bet they would work.

I was told no on the 24v by the manufacturer BUT they DID say with a little notice they could make some for 24v....evidently it's just a matter of installing a different resistor.
