I have some diy beadlocks that I welded up and thanks to my crapy welding I have some pin hole leaks. Any body have any suggestions on how to fill them. I was thinking of rewelding each pinhole but was also thinking about using a soilder instead. Thinking that might flow into the pinholes better. Thanks for any help Rob

grind them and weld it again or get some jb weld mix it up and put it on the inside of the diy beed locks or where the pin holes are.. up to you.

yup, surprisingly JB Weld works great on small air leaks. I used it to solve the exact problem on a bumper/air tank...

Depending On The Size Of Gap You Left With Your "chity Welding"
Powder Coat The Wheel. That Should Take Care Of Any Hole Within Reason

59m , P&T -Ill try the jb weld
moose -I would not trust powder coating to seal pinholes
vtwin ,GoingOffRoad - The welds are good just have tiny pinholes so
grinding and rewelding will be time consuming
Fish - I tried the slime thing didnt work
Thanks guys all of you have been a help

I wouldn't take the chance of getting a flat in the middle of ...well probably a bad place...mark and spot weld the pin holes at the least...my vote would be grind them and re-weld..

take your inflated, leaky, tire/wheel combo, and stand it up like it would be on your rig. now put some water in the rim where the welded beadlock and the rim are welded. slowly rotate your tire/wheel until you find all of places where there are bubbles from leaking air. using a marking device (ie. sharpie marker or similar), mark your rim where its leaking. now pull the junk apart, and weld it in the marked spots so it doesnt leak.
once welded, you can double check the previously leaking spots by taking an air hose and blasting inside the rim with full pressure (where you previously had the water sitting to check for bubbles), and squirting some soapy water on the outside to check for bubbles (by outside, i mean right on your welds).

But will it stay fixed???
it should, my bumper held 100lbs of pressure for years even while using it for it's intended purpose (hitting trees, rocks, etc...).
Reminds me of my first set where I kept running into oxygen bubbles in my sheilding gas from a leaky line....oh the leaks :(

can you not use silicon to seal it up?

Silicon did not adhear to the metal very well... I dont see the jbweld coming off. I dropped a rim and it didnt seem to phase the jbweld at all.
I take to a buddy of mine who does retorations and they have used a product similar to jbweld to put on quarter panels. To keep from distorting the panel from heat. But anyway back to the topic.
