95 Pathfinder Transmission Problems

I have a 95 pathfinder 4x4 Xe 3.0. Without warning, it was shifting fine, then I parked it for about 30 mins. and left to go home it would not go into 3rd gear(overdrive im presuming). I have replaced the TPS sensor and no help...can someone give me some ideas as to what is wrong. Do I need to reset the ECU after i put the new tps on? :confused:

Either the tranny ECU is stuck in safe mode, or your tranny is gone. My bet is the tranny ECU though. Was the truck on (acc)when you changed the TPS? Have you tried unhooking the battery over night to see if the ECU resets?

try this, but my money says your tranny ate it.. Ive had 3 nissan auto Trannies go on me... 2 in my maxima and one in my hardbody, I lost 1st and 2nd though... get ready for a world or exspense, unless you love getting greasy and have plenty of tools :)
