if you are talking about the hybrid variable-venturi carb, stay FAR AWAY, absolute crap. I went through 3 on my 85 copcar. $250 a pop for rebuilts, perform like ass. Ended up getting fed up and got a 4bbl once they started making the AOD kickdown linkage for Holleys. For a wheelin' carb, you just can't beat the old 70's motorcraft 2bbl

There is no such thing as a "TBI carb". If you are refering to the old Ford TBI (Throttle Body Injection), then yes, it works. No, its not a carb. Dont plan on running a cam, or any other engine mods for that matter. Its really basic, really easy to install, and not for any kind of horsepower application. Would work fine on a stock 289/302 and is a very cheap basic way to get EFI.

..... and to add, a motorcraft 2bbl will work just as well and be alot easier to set up.
