: Tube bender and fenders done
DrVic723 08-03-2005, 09:34 AM Here are my tube fenders built from 1 3/4" .120 wall. I will tie them into the new shock hoops I am making and will be very strong. I bent them on the bender I just finished making this week. Tell me what you think about the fenders and bender.

Lowtorious 08-03-2005, 10:02 AM Everything looks cool. You got some nice flex going on there.
I checked your web page out. It's sweet too.
Where'd ya ge the black edging material for the fenders?
808toy 08-03-2005, 10:25 AM That's a nice clean look. Awesome job.
808toy 08-03-2005, 10:28 AM Got any pictures of your rear shock placement, including the upper mounts?
DrVic723 08-03-2005, 10:32 AM I got the trim from a place in town (tucson) called.. get ready.. trimco :p . They have ALL types, widths and textures, including bling bling. They all have 3M on the back thus no riveting, I just heated them up reat hot to make the bends and sticky up the backside. If anyone wants a model # or something I can call them up and ask them where to get them online.
DrVic723 08-03-2005, 10:37 AM As far as shock placement on the rears im changing it to less / \, I'm just not getting enough dampening(sp?) I just need some longer better shocks first.
This is the best pic I have at the moment

erg801 08-03-2005, 10:42 AM Looks sweet man, Id love to do the same if it werent for fender laws...:shaking:
TheBandit 08-03-2005, 11:21 AM That is a very clean look.
[critque]I woulda hung 'em out a little further to protect that pretty sheet metal, but I understand why you kept them tucked up. It looks cool![/critique]
Great job!
]4RunnerKid[ 08-03-2005, 12:38 PM those turned out realy nice. great job with them. glad to see you got the bender all worked out too. that thing is :smokin:

This from guy in "Intercourse PA" :shaking: :flipoff2:
Give him a break, it's like eleventyhundred degrees out here and that puffball dog was probably miserable! :D
MT4Runner 08-03-2005, 03:16 PM Really slick work. Nice job on the bender, too.
The tube would look a little better if it were round to fit the shape of your Tacoma...but I realize you'd need a gawdawful huge die for your bender. Your bars would look better on my 1st gen. Runner!
traxman25 08-03-2005, 07:07 PM Very sick work. I like those front fenders. Almost makes me wish I had enought room to do something like that, but ya know, I have my own, not so creative exo to do.
Toy time 08-03-2005, 07:09 PM Really slick work. Nice job on the bender, too.

no thats what is making it so bad ass is the old school 84 look thats bad, nice work
crash 08-03-2005, 07:47 PM Those look clean but whats the purpose of them? Is there any vertcle/horizontal supports? If not I see them moving and causing your sheet metal to crumple due to the length from mounting points.
sickfab 08-03-2005, 07:54 PM Fawk'n Bad Ass Truck!
DrVic723 08-03-2005, 10:44 PM Hehehe, yeah, its a million degrees here in Tucson and my poor dogs have to sit it out in the heat. I even put 600 square feet of grass in the back yard for em, if you only knew how much water it takes to keep grass green in Tucson! $$$
As far as the lateral support, as I mentioned I am currently making some shock hoops and will tie them in to the fenders. Thanks for the input -Jeff
