Yup sure is and you don't have to worry about body damage or a winch :D

Depends upon the rig. The "obstical" course is one of the more popular areas for the "mini-rubicon", concrete hill, mud pit, etc.

Five fingers is interesting but may be closed:(

Tank trap is worth a look as is the area below the tank trap.

I would recommend that you hang with someone who's been there a few times and knows where things are.... you could miss a bunch of fun stuff without it.

Personally, I wouldn't call HH a must go place for wheeling especially if you are driving more than an hour to get there. OTOH, I know a person who came up from LA for a day after thanksgiving run:p

Five Fingers is a tall hill climb that was open 3 weeks ago.

Tank Trap is not something a stocker wants to try unless they like body damage. Do a search, there are several pics here of it.

Obstacle cource is okay. The mud pit is really deep right now. The frame twister is actually fairly difficult as of 3 weeks ago. The concrete frame twisting part is simple but the logs are tore up. Very deep holes last time I was there. I made it in my long wheelbase, barely. A 112" WB truck and Cherokee didn't make it and a locked Jeep needed to be winched after trying for several minutes. Mini-rubicon is cool.

All depends on what you want to do. There are many trails, most of which are on the map available at the ranger station. Lots of areas off limits for resoration though. The marked trails use ski resort type markings (green blue black)

Truck Hill is a long straight steep hill climb that gets nasty about 3/4 the way up. Have not seen anyone make it the last several times there.

There are some fun trails to get twisted up on below truck hill, one about a 1/4 mi past Tank Trap. There is also a fun trail that has claimed several steering boxes and tierods from what I hear near 5 Fingers. The start is opposite where 2-3 concrete manhole "bulkheads" are and has a steel culvert exiting into the trail. It parallels the main road above.

When are you going?

Just explore.

With the right setup vehicle or the right group, it can be a fun park. But taking a stocker that you don't want damage on limits the areas one will go.... and I'd say about 90% of the park is BMW passable:D :D

But, I'm a bit biased as I've been there a few dozen times since the early 90's and it has lost most of the fun factor for me:( Even worse when the wheeling rig is a stock 99 Taco that I can't afford to total(I've got some rocker rash and bumper damage:D)

They graded it?????? Up until I'd heard that I'd have said stay off of Truck hill. It has killed people before. It is over twice as tall as Five fingers.
Five Fingers only gets closed in summer to keep the dust from covering the vineyards next door.

Just have fun, there is a lot to do there. My Club is heading down there on the 16th/17th.

Unless you are part of the Hare scramble, the Upper Ranch is closed that weekend.
