Doing frame off restoration (down to frame and axles at this point) on a stock 58 Chevy Apache 2wd swb PU. Considering converting to 4wd. Any suggestions as to what would be a good fit.

Thanks,
Murry

this is a pick and choose at will. you can do just about any thing you want. there really is no limit except ttb ford, but even that wont be to difficult. just remember that these trucks dont look right till you get at least a 38" tire.

For that truck, I would find the Napco kit that fits the truck.

that napco is huge and not very common, ive seen a few on here. but relitively rare. are you going to use it? or is it just a fun clean truck?

Here's a 1955 Napco frt. axle on my '57. They where a direct bolt on.
Also in 1957 the move the pumpkin to the pass. side.
Or you could go with the Big 60. Laters, Dave............

Will use for light hauling and going fishing. Live on unpaved road and also own large rural acreage. Also have a 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins 4X4 and a 42 Ford 1.5 ton flat bed that I ain't gonna burn.

Later,
Murry

it makes it easier to purchase parts that way.
