We were camping up there a couple weeks ago and bought a couple gallons at Ice House. Be prepared though, it's not cheap @ $3.49 / gallon.

Ya don't say, I thought it would be cheaper since it's only 25 miles from the nearest gas station. :p

After the (lack of) customer service and completely unwarrented attitude we got from Ice House two years in a row I will bring my fuel and fluids from placerville all the way up there. I won't even give Ice House the pleasure of taking a dump there.

We will be however, eating at Robbs and supporting them in any way we can because they took care of us and were 1000 times friendlier than ice hole :)

i dont think that type of negative response is warranted here... you should leave your conflicts in your old thread and let it be..

Why not? He said nothing foul, and he is 100% correct. There service is terrible, and they take full advantage of people. I have been there many of times and been treated rudely. He has every right to bash if he says it politely. :shaking:

25 miles all up hill too!
Just fill up at Sly park, grab a subway sandwich and go, I feel that subway is mainly there for wheelers.

last year at IHR in the bar we were treated to quite a boobie show-- some drunken biker chicks were keeping busy lifting their shirts. Hoping for an encore, we stopped by there July 21 and the bar was all closed up. The store clerk said it'll open at 3pm... so we waited to see what's up and some got last chance gas. By 3:15 bar still not open, so we trucked on.

BTW, we bought some last minute ohmygoshweforget something items in Meyers, CA and when we got to IHR store, the same items were about $.75 cheaper than in Meyers! go figure...

The bad thing appears to be that they close at 9 pm on friday. so, if you're getting up there around 10.. yer sol.

Hopefully filling up in Sly park will be enough!... or you can go in through georgetown and fill up there.

Best,

FG
