Ken Blume had 70 on A3?

And congrats to the winners of each class...they were really on the mark by looking at the difference in scores! It's awesome to see a team pull off a lead that big and is something I aspire to do, but for some reason cannot do!

   Way to go Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a story behind this. We saw his rig on the trailer Saturday night and he said, "Look at my rear axle" I thought he had rear steer because the passenger rear was curved in real bad. Then, I looked the axle tube and you could see the "bend" in it. He bent a 44 housing really bad. Anyway, Patrick said they cut metal off their trailer and welded it on for support and torched it back straight the best they could.

I don't know if many people know it broke when they pulled it on the trailer Sunday. :cool2: Good timing.

A full day of competition on a bent D44 and they still took the win by that large of a margin...WOW! Who was spotting for Paul?

We almost got that lucky. We started the event with 2 broken teeth on the rear ring gear and 2-3 more cracked. Lasted up till the 7th course before letting go. :(
Just 2 more courses and we could have held on to 2nd, but I couldn't believe it lasted that long.

a little more krazy glue on that ring gear and you might have finished! Bummer for you guys to make it that far and be denied, but good going making it that far in the first place!

Funny you should mention krazy glue... someone actually said to use J-B weld and rebuilt the teeth or lay a bead of weld in there :D Talk about pushing the envelope.

The bad part was the rear is a 60R and the front is still the D44, so I'd thought the last part to go would be the rear  We're guessing the teeth got chipped in Portland when I was trying the Super Mod bonus on #8 and folded the rear link up :shaking:

Snobrder, I give your team props. I watched you guys and for being busted up, you did well by not pussin' out. I know you pulled points on the climb in the middle (A3??) because of the ring gear, but that was playin' it smart. I just wish I woulda had the right ratio for your 60 so you guys coulda fixed it. BTW, I was in the green XJ doing recovery. Can't wait to compete against you guys next year.

We hope to never do that again, but from now on, I'm carrying a spare gearset. :D

And thanks for being there, you guys did a bang up job with recovery.

Rich, question on Trophy vs. Purse. For the Jellico event the scores were posted on Pirate combined for Trophy & Purse, but this time they are separated. Trying to figure out what the official results are to tell my sponsors. From Jellico I paid Purse & ended up 12th but had one Trophy guy ahead of me. This time I paid Trophy & was 8th overall, but 1st in Trophy. Does overall count Trophy or not? Also is there an actual Trophy for 1st in Trophy class?

Thanks,

Head

In our records it's 2 different divisions within the same class. I've started to break them out to make it easier for the purse guys to see where they placed in their division. Overall does not count trophy as far as points for the season. But you count it for your sponsors... I guess

How will you post it on your web site? That's ultimately where people will go to validate standings claims, or just to see how things are going. BTW your Jellico scores are still messed up on your website.

I think Big Rich is using our 3 trophies for paper weights. I still haven't seen any of them yet. :flipoff2:

If you had waitied until the trophy presentation you would have had to carry them home to TN, instead of me carrying them all the way back to Ca. :D

Holy crap did that get old fast. What was that again, where at, I don't care about the name- gimme the #, blah, blah, blah. Not cuttin' on Mom, but geesh.... Of course, I don't have much room to talk. I've got diminished hearing from being around machine shops all my life ( I refuse to blame it on being at way too many concerts and having a loud stereo in my junk :p )

Here is a copy from a rule book:

W.E.Rock Purse

Purse will consist of 100% of paid entry fees (minus cost of trophies and competitor shirts). Purse payouts will be to the top 5 competitors in a class, as long as there are more than 17 competitors in a class. If there are less than 17 competitors in a class, W.E.Rock will payout 1 spot for every 4 entered.

Example:
1 – 4…... 1 paid
5 – 8 ….. 2 paid
9 – 12 … 3 paid
13 – 16 .. 4 paid
17 – up .. 5 paid

Purses will be paid out based on the following percentages:
Position Percentage Of Purse

Number of comp/class Payout

1 – 4 1 paid = 1st:100%

5 – 8 2 paid = 1st:70%, 2nd:30%

9 – 12 3 paid = 1st:62%, 2nd:30%, 3rd:8%

13 – 16 4 paid = 1st:56%, 2nd:28%, 3rd:10%, 4th:6%

17 – up 5 paid = 1st:55%, 2nd:24.5%, 3rd:10%, 4th:7%, 5th:3.5%

Each Class Purse will include the paid entry fees from the Trophy Division (minus the cost of Trophies and Competitor shirts) per class.

Series Purse
100% of Series fees collected (minus Trophies) will be awarded under the same guidelines as a regular season event.
