I just got my Rancho 9000's for my SOA that will be taking place this weekend. The shocks dont have the eyes at the ends it just has the screw looking things(cant think of what they are called). My question is how do I go about mounting them? Anyone done this or seen how to? If you have any pics it would help.
Thanks for the help.

I lurve the star too :flipoff2:

It is much easier to exchance them for the proper shocks. 9012's are what you really want. they have the proper eye :D

Purty welds...

Yeah I think you might wan't to exchange those for some with dual eyes. Though I don't know what your working with so maybe the ones you have are best for what your trying to achieve. If you're fabbing new mounts, then it doesn't matter. Yeah the 9012's are the best bang for the buck(32.9" extended).

All the trouble is worth it in the end -trust me:smokin:

Make sure you NEED 32" shocks. I got some 9012's when I first did my SOA thinking I would need them and it turned out that I did not need shocks that long and I was forsed to sell and get 9112's.

Go to the Rancho guide and see what size you need and then trade out the ones with the eyes that you have (unless of course you have a Cruiser Wagon, then you will need a shock like that only in the front)

Thanks for the reply fellas, but I do have the 9012's. I have the 9012's for the front and 9014's for the rear. They are both stud/pins. This kinda sucks because the SOA is being done this weekend and cant really exchange them within two days. Any idea's? Got the shocks from 4 Wheel Parts(mistake) and it took them about 2 weeks to get the shocks to me the first time.

If you have a pin on those shocks, you do NOT have RS9012s or RS9014s. Both of those shocks have tube mounts top and bottom. I suggest you take them back.

What is the number stamped at the bottom of the shock?

That is what I thought but the boxes have 9012's and 9014's. I havent looked at what the shocks have stamped on them cause there arent with me, they are at the shop. Know anyway of getting the right shocks with 2-3 days?

Yeah, what he said...It ALWAYS takes longer than you think. If you have to, you can drive it without the shocks...Don't rush it.
...Bouncy...bouncy..bouncy:rasta:

Are you using the stock springs??? The reason I ask is you are already doing major mods. It's a good time to think about custom changes ie longer springs and other tricks to utilize all that the 9012s (if that is what you have) have to offer.

Good luck:beer:

Talked to 4 Wheel Parts yesterday and the bastards sent me the wrong shocks in the 9012 boxes. So now i have to trade them and that will probably take 2 weeks knowing 4 Wheel Parts and their "fast" service. Thanks for all the advice fellas.
