They should be the same as far as I know. There are 2 different size tanks, though, different depth. One 14.x gallons, the other 17.2 gallons.

I put my 85 Runner tank into an 88 Runner, the only difference was one electrical plug for the sending unit was a different shape. Rewire it and you're good to go
