No muffler on the Rubicon?

I have an 86 xtra cab..... my exhaust is, headers, cat to about 4 feet of tubing with no muffler.... Just wondering if i need to weld on a muffler before i head up... thanks

It's a county road. You'll need a green sticker or a current vehicle registration. The green sticker will require a spark arrester and the registration will require a muffler.

There are noise requirement for both county [CVC 38365, 38370, 38370(h)(1)]and federal lands [261.13(d)]. Yes, the California Vehicle Code still applies.

Check in to it before you end up with a big ticket.

by law, definition it must have a spark arrester..... IE: muffler..... and just
for PC sakes, nobody wants to hear your junk anyway............
