Theres really only two styles of zuk seats I've seen, there is the Jx seats (they look super swoopy) and the standard ones.

There are kits from places like Spidertrax that let you bolt in plastic racing seats. These also look easy to make yourself.

You can buy new seats from quadratec for about 150 ea. Bobaki bought some for his fancy zuk, and they are comfy and look nice.

I have seen lots of people adapt lots of different seats, but just keep in mind that they need to be a lot narrower than a most seats to fit well.

Sidekick/Tracker/Grand Vitara seats will NOT work. The outboard "legs" on these seats are longer than the inboard "legs", 'cause the inboard legs mount half-way up the tranny tunnel on Kicks & GV's.

Corbeau Clubman seats! These seats are bad!!
I have run these for years...while the zuk is bouncing throught the rocks..you stay right in the seat!
Under the seat you need to put a piece of 1"x1/4 stock in there to mount to your sliding rails...
And Fatty sells these now!

How much do those go for?

They are about 200 each...My first set lasted me about 7 years running all summer long with the top and doors off...And bought a new set last summer.
A little pricey for some seats but well worth it!

These work too, although mine are mounted to the cage...Not really what you were talking about. 92-98 Honda civic, take-offs from ricers on ebay for about $100 plus shipping...

I've got late 80's Prelude seats in mine, use the Sammi rails on the passenger side and the Prelude rails on the drivers side and they bolt right up.

Get some seats outta a Mazda 626 or 323. Make sure it's the 2-door model with the pasanger seat that'll slide all the way up. take the seat rails from your samurai and measure, drill and bolt 'em in. Bam! Insta-samurai seat
There a little tight, but the whole opperation costs 20-50$ a seat, and you get to pick a matching color.

Toyota Celica seats are in mine. Little bit wider than stock seats.
Harder than stock too. But better support while wheelin is nice.
Only problem is they sit higher and well you know head room is tight as it is. I like em'.
Good luck.... newbie :flipoff2:

Mid/late 80's Mazda rx7 seats work pretty well also. Drivers side bolts right in, rails and all. The passenger side needs 2 well placed whacks with a hammer, drill 2 holes, bolt zuk rails onto seat, make 2 spacers for the inside rail and bolt the seat in. Pretty comfy, nice side bolsters, driver seat has adjustable lumbar support.
