ok while searching through the archives I found a couple articles that said using hub fuses and detroits (or other auto lockers) was bad. but I also found some that said using fuses with ox or ARB is ok.

so what about fuses and a lincoln locker. I just put the axles in and will regear whe the funds allow me to so right now I am not going to buy a locker b/c it would be for the wrong gears. so I am just going to lincoln lock the front for a little bit.

the thing is I am running warn premium hubs with fuses in there.

is that going to be a big problem if one of the fusses goes? I figure since it is a "full time locker" that it would be ok since the problem seems to be with auto lockers.

is this correct.

this shouldn't qualify as a newbie question either :flipoff2:

I got the impression from Warns site that these fuses do not play well with any kind of a locker. I would think that a welded diff would the worst kind of locker for these fuses. Don't know, maybe I was :smokin: when I read the specs from Warn...:rasta:

i don't like the idea of building things to break. just seems wrong.

I think the main problem is that the sudden shock of a detroit or something locking up is what does it for the fuses. That would be my guess anyway, if you bust em up quick you're only out one set of fuses anyway....

I think you'll be fine, you will basically have a spool when your done, and that is again basically what you have with a locked arb or ox, the sudden shock of the fuses letting go is what takes out a detroit/ lockrite, but then an axle breaking can do the same thing.
