So I picked up a used Tera 4:1 np231 from JU. It came out of a 4.0L w/5spd tranny. I had thought that it would just bolt right up to my 4.0L w/auto tranny, but I noticed that Tera lists different part numbers for the 4.0L Auto and the 4.0L 5spd. Anyone know if I would need to swap out the input shaft on the TC?

Call Teraflex, they will sale you a bushing that slides in between the output shaft of your auto and in the input shaft of the 4.1. Just call them..they will tell you.

Mine isn't a bushing. Mine is a machined piece of billet with a seal in it. You tap that into your tranny to replace the seal that's in there, therefore making the seal surface come back further.

That way TeraFlex only has to make one input shaft length for their case.
