riding what?
If dirtbikes Georgetown OHV area has some nice trails. Pick up a map at the ranger station in G-Town. Foresthill is cool too, Mammoth has a pretty nice track and some fun trails but they aren't open everyday.

Are you new to the area or dirt riding? What type of bike\quad?
You are real close to Prairie City OHV. off White Rock Rd. 800+ acres of open terrain and some tracks. I think it's still $15 to ride the maintained and watered practice track.
Sugar Pine Reservoir in Foresthill is a bit of a drive, but well worth it for more miles of trails and roads than you can see in a day. 5 loops ranging in difficulty and length. More suited to enduro type bikes, but I ride a YZ 426 up there all the time. I change to lower gearing though, but you just have to go faster on MX type machines so as not to overwork or overheat the watercooled ones. Loop 5 is about 18 miles long. You will be cutting it close on fuel with a small MX size tank, with no room for errors in getting lost etc.
Still plenty of good riding for either type machine.
Mammoth Bar in Auburn is relatively small with some good improvements over the years. A track and some challenging trails mostly suited to enduro type machines, but again if you have an MX bike you should do fine depending on your skill level and "balls factor". They have a most bitchen' hill climb that is just as much fun going up as down and should not be tried by the amatuer, but should not be missed by the experienced. IMO.

Georgetown has Bald Mountain OHV. Lots of fire roads and numbered trails.
Highly recommend an enduro machine here to tackle most trails. Lot's of roads though also.

Just my 0.2 as I have ridden these areas for the last 20+ yrs. on all types of bikes. So when are we goin? :)

Yeah, well you should do just fine with that WR. I would like to switch to one myself.
A buddy I work with lives near Placerville, and says he goes riding with his boy somewhere near there. Not an OHV park, but he claims lot's of roads and trails. I've never been with him after numerous invites, but I'll get more info to you and then maybe we can organize a ride first weekend in Sept.
As far as my "secret spot", only the ladies know that one.

Secret spots generally get closed shortly after posting their location on this website. It's been that way with all my old secret spot 4 wheeling areas. For anyone that want's to keep their secret spot a secret don't go blabbing about it here.
