I plan to run 5.29 gears in the toy diff, so what front diff should I be looking for that will run this gear set? I currently have the dana 30 front.

If you are asking about a Dana front axle the closest you can get to 5.29 is either 5.13 or 5.38

IF YOU WANNA PUT TOYOTA axles in your JEEP, then go to the TOYOTA section and ask stuff there

First of all he's got a JEEP...NOT a Toyota.
Second, You should go to the chevy section since you'll be asking about chevy 4.3s and sm465s in the near future according to your sig line:rolleyes:

Shaun,
Alot of guys who swap in Dana 44s in the front of their toys run 5.38s in the 44 and 5.29s in the toy rear. THese ratios are so close that no binding occurs.

As for a front end...get a dana 44. You may get a toy front end to fit but I think a waggy 44 from a narrow track would do well and is easily adapted to the yj. It is almost a bolt in. Also the waggy will come six lug to match the toy rear.Good luck and just ignore the ones with no useable tech info.
