Sorry if this has been covered befor ebut I cant find anything on multiple searches and I asked Old Scout and he hasent replied...

I am dealing on a a Scout Saginaw steering box for my Toyota high steering conversion. I dont wanna put an old worn out box in there and have to pull it for a rebuild later...
So, i wanna rebuild it before I put it on.

Anyway, is there a place you can refer me to to get a rebuild kit?
Or a place that just rebuilds them?
Is it even possible to rebuild myself? (Any odd pressjobs or anything...)

I would really like to strip it down, get the whole thing, parts and all hot tanked then do a nice clean rebuild. I have plenty of time, just not much mula...

Also, if you know of a place to get a kit for the pump, please refer me to that too!

Thanks!!!

Hi, I am new to this board but not too scouts. I have a friend whol lives in Northern Mississippi. I am almost positive he knows a place over there that rebuilds the boxes? Or is it brake boosters? Email me and I will give you his contact info. Jared

try these guys:

http://westtexasoffroad.homestead.com/index.html

They specialize in hydro steer systems, but they rebuild your box and install fittings for the hydro ram for $150. Just in case you want to go hydro later...
