I have a 74 wagoneer power steering box that I am going to mount on a scout 80. What I need to find out is where can I get a drop arm for this year. I've done some searching but can't seem to find one. Is there a different style of jeep that uses the same size arm, or is the arm the same on a different make of vehicle?

All std. aftermarket drop arms are the same at least as far I've seen. I'll have to look it up to check but I bet I'm right. As far as where to buy a new one, check the sponsor of this page I bet they can get you one. :D

No they wont be the same the waggy arm is longer. You could use a arm from a scout 2 but it may be to long?

Too long? Is that in length or drop? I did a SOA on the scout and got six inches of lift. I want to add power steering and am not comfortable with the idea of lowering the mounting brackets on the frame. I am using a z link right now but want to do something different.

WHat front are you running? If you running the scout 44 and go to a jeep arm you will lose turning radious. The jeep arms are shorter than the wag or scout. By short i mean length not drop from center to center they are shorter but the jeep drop arm does drop further. You can use a stock arm from a XJ for a drop arm but it will be the short style.

When all is said and done this time I will be using the jeep 44 axle. But right now the axle is still stock and the steering is stock. I want to get everything together before I start swapping stuff around. I would like to get the power steering set up first. The stock arm is about six inches long and no drop. I don't mind the power steering by armstrong but the wife does. :D I'm going to call a couple of places this week and find out more about this year of arm, but I sure figured that there must be a newer model that I could use. Nobody has much advertised for this year of wagoneer for the lift or steering.
Rocky Mountain Suspension does look helpfull Thanks.

Yes, those arms will all bolt to a PS box. The taper is different in the CJ vs. Waggy though for the drag link.

Cool........I didn't know a dodge arm would fit on a cj box. I guess I do now. I'll be drilling the taper anyways so, that won't matter.

Harley,
If you're trying to get enough drop to put the draglink straight and BELOW the springs, DON'T!
Instead, you want to put a steering arm on the passenger flat-top knuckle and run the straight draglink ABOVE the springs.
Set up the pitman arm to hug the frame as close as reasonable to keep the draglink and pitman arm from getting hit by the springs.
I just changed my SII pitman out for one from a '73 Buick - I wanted a GW pitman, but didn't find one at the time. I needed an arm with LESS drop so my springs would stop hitting the pitman when I would land a jump. :D
I can show you pics of my cross-over high-steer setup if you'd like.
