I tried searching but maybe I am not using the right words.

What is involved in narrowing a full floater Dana 60? Anybody is welcome to post links to threads that they find. I tried narrow full floater and everything else I could think off.

From what I understand, you will have to cut the spindles off, cut off a section of tubing, and then weld the spindles back on. Easy enough? Not really because when you weld the spindles back on, you will need an alignment jig. This jig basicaly is a large round rod that uses the carrier bearing bores to line up the spindle. If you are going to do this project, I'd bore the spindles out for larger 35 spline axleshafts while doing all work. That way when you weld everything together, the spindle bore will be square and centered to the carrier bearings. That should be the jist of it. I'm going to be doing the same thing to my 14B soon and am gathering parts now.

Or whack of the spindles and jig on Set20 housing ends and make her a SF 1.5"-35sp d60.

I used 14 bolts spindles for mine so I could run 35 spline axles. After I cut the 14 bolt spindles off, I machined a socket on the back side of then that would slide up over the 60 axle tube. Lined them up and welded them. Welded on disc brake brackets and used 14 bolt hubs. Pretty easy actually.
