I picked up an very low miles(14,650) 2003 F250 SD with the 5.4L as a DD/tow rig. I am only looking to do two things with it.
1-level out the front end. I have heard that an add a leaf in the front spring packs will do the trick. Good info or bad idea?
2- let it breath a little better. Anyone running a K&N filter and notice any difference? I have one in the Jeep and noticed a little smoother acceleration, hopefully it will do the same for the F250.
And yes, I searched, but didn't find the info I was looking for :flipoff2:

Buddy of mine put an FIPK and had the stock muffler replaced (Magnaflow with stock pipes) and I recall him saying his mileage went from 14ish to 16ish. His is a 99 or 00 F250 SD 5.4, auto, 4x4. Purely from memory, but I think it is accurate info. He just did the Superchips download, but haven't heard anything back yet.

I don't know about the SD, but my grandson added the K&N, reprogrammed and a local shop did a "true duals" conversion....made his F-150 4x4 w/5.4 a screamer.
