I jsut got mine yesterday...they are some narrow ass bitches...compared to a 12.5 SX they are really narrow...oh did I mention they are narrow:D...I got them in a 16.5" rim I and going to run them on the standard 9.75" wide rim...they recommend an 8.5" rim but I think the 9.75 will pull them out a little wider...and I will be running beadlocks so no comments about loosing a bead...awesome tire though with 29/32 tread the are the largest tread interco makes...

it might have CJ hinges but that doesnt make it a CJ for sure....i know of several YJ guys that have swapped to CJ hinges so they could have a folding down tailgate. also look that there are no side mirrors on the jeep. this would leade me to believe that they were on the doors. however this is no deciding factor since if it is a CJ and he put a YJ clip on it, then why wouldnt he have gotten the YJ doors too. also i font have mirrors on my CJ, but then again it isnt exactly street legal

Fuel cell in the back maybe? Looks like something else is where the gas tank would be.... exhaust?

Those are nice examples, thanks. The white yj/cj with the 500 caddy is scary how close to what I am building. I have a 91 yj that I am planning on running those tires and I was just at www.500cid.com after reading about it in the new 4x4 rag. I might just go to the local tow auction and pick up an old caddy. You cant go wrong even if you end up with a stock 472. Extreme torque off idle would be nice. I had a healthy 355 planned with 11 to 1s and a 290 510 cam with a tweaked Q-jet. But I can get better torque numbers from a stock caddy for less than half of what I had planned to spend. Anyway if there are more pics keep em coming and if the guy with the yj/cj is on the board someone point him my way please, thanks. Here are a couple shots of the yj in early stage. Lots left to do

well it looks like it has side mirrors to me. granted they don't look like cj mirrors but there are mirrors on the ws hinges. anyway i think you may be right on the yj. in the pic of the rear it looks like the rear springs are spaced too far appart to be a cj. also in the one side shot right above the front shackle it looks like i can see the end of the round hole/tube that is in the front frame rails of a yj. good call.

it is a cj7 with a yj fiberglass hood and yj fenders. it has d44s front and rear and a caddy 500 motor. i doubt the guy would be on this board as i believe the jeep is bought not built. i can remember him having a prob with a electric cooling fan and the guy didnt even get out of the jeep, the trail guide fixed it for him. hes and old dude with alot of money and no skills, well at least thats the impression i got. i was impressed that he never broke the d44s although i dont think the caddy 500 has ever seen higher than 2500 rpms. also you can see the 76 on the hood, thats the year of the jeep and the motor i think the sticker says 76 last year of the caddy 500 first year of the cj7 or somthing like that. it is a very nice jeep

Karl,
The wooden parking block thing coming from a guy that found his Jeep halfway down the hill behind his parents house because it slipped out of gear the night before, and took out part of their retaining wall? :flipoff2: I'd say he was prepared ;) Those of us without functioning parking brakes, need ... other methods.
