I have been beating on this friend to sell his cruzah. '70, 327, overdrive, doesn't overheat, but precious little else. Basically a beater, major rusted sheet metal and rusted frame. No top, drum brakes all around, rebuilt t/c, 4.10 gearing, you know the story. The only thing it had going for it is that it's a good runner.

He wants 3500 bucks for it. I am thinking 2000--max.

Problem is, his garage partner can get salvaged Heeps for 2k with efi, ac, the works. Rippled body metal is not a problem.

Sounds to me more like an under $1,000 parts truck.

Yea, but if you buy a heep, you will find yourself upgrading ALL the running gear to Land Cuiser standards.

2k is too much. If he does not want to deal, walk away. There are much better rigs out there.

if you learn anything from anyone..learn to walk away and not jump to a cruiser. be patient and dont take the first thing that comes along....youll regret it (usually) theres plenty more out there!
