Ok, I have been looking for a decent engine hoist where I will get the best bang for my buck... I really would perfer to buy one locally so I dont have to pay shipping, but otherwise I dont have a problem with having one shipped.. I need one that folds up so it can fit in my shop closet. Does anyone have any sugguestions?
Thanks Garrett

Make sure it has casters on the front wheels rather than wheels. If it doesnt you WILL hate it :mad3: Mine is only a few weeks old and Im thinking about getting some casters for it. I HATE that piece of sh!t !!! :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :flipoff: :flipoff:

The harbor freight one is really good. I use it all the time and it folds up nicely. So go to one of the stores old scout posted.

I highly recommend purchasing a leveler. A leveler makes life so easy. One man can do just about any job. Major time saver too.

I also recommend getting the biggest hoist you can afford. The extra lift hieght always comes in handy, especially when working on 4wd's.

Even though they may not fold up all compact, they still easily break down into pieces. Only have to pull about 4 bolts.

Looks like a nice one there... My buddy has one just like it.. I borrowed it for like 2 months, and then gave it back, and miss it every day since.. I know how they tear down, but it still takes 15-20 min to re-assemble.. which is kinda long.. also I like em to lift up the front of the truck when you put jackstad under it.. no need to a giant jack... also with the load levler... I have used them before, but it seems that they take forever to move back and forth... could I mount a nut or something on there so I could use my impact wrench to move it back and forth?? seems more logical to me... And has anyone looked at the northern tool one? They are offering a 2 ton fold up unit WITH a load levler for $179. Seems like a damn good deal to me... But something has to be up. anyway, thanks for the help so far. Garrett
