I have never heard of this being done and you did not say what vehicle you are working with.. If you are working with a short wheelbase rig (CJ5/CJ7and probably even the CJ8and Scout) you will have rear driveshaft issues. In a CJ5 where your driveshaft is only about 15inches to begin with you have to subtract the length of your adapters(one from the tranny to the 203 gearbox and one from the 203 to the D300) and the length of the 203 gearbox(6 inches).. So if you could make both adapters 1 inch thick you will have a total of 8 inches to take from the rear D-shaft for a CJ5 that would leave 7 inches ofdrive shaft which is barely enough for the Ujointsand then the angle will be so steep you will have vibration problems and wear out U-joints every 100 miles..

put in a V8 to pull the powertrain forward, then send us picks once you get this thing built. :D
www.wagonermachine.com has done this. i think they have made doublers out of about every t case ever made

I wouldn't worry about the t-case doubler, I'd dump the AX-15 and get an NV4500. You'll love the gear ratios. You'll have almost double the crawl ratio. And still have the OD. Plus the tranny will take anything you can throw at it. JB conversions overs new NV's for a very reasonable price (hundreds less than even an Atlas II)

Wagoner does this. I actually just ordered a doubler from them to mate a 203 to a d300. So neither of us will be the first to do this. I may write an article about the installation and initial impressions for Alloffroad. I'm putting the drivetrain in the week after next and plan on taking pics. I'll keep ya'll updated.
