6" and 3" and 2", I would guess that you have no problem clearing the 40s. But anyway, the front SAS is real easy on these trucks. You will need to get the coil sprung 44, lift springs for the same rear (78) and the radius arms and mounts from said rear. Ditch all your TTB stuff, the new springs will go into your exsiting coil buckets. Get it all stright and level weld/bolt your new radius arm mounts, mount trac bar, the steering off the 78 will fit right into your pitman arm. Then swap the outers for 3/4 ton stuff.

The rear is bolt in.

The 460 was outlined in another thread, quick sumery. you have to change the one frame mount, they are bolted on. Use 390 motor mounts, grind out oppisite cornors cut off lower cornor, bolt to block. Now you can set the engine into the 302 frame mounts. You will need to get headers, or truck manifolds, or you can use the car manifolds if you notch the frame on the right side where the frame has that one spot that sticks out. You will also need to get the 385 family bellhousing for the tranny.

Also with that motor you should get a larger radiator.

Enjoy and go for it!

I wouldn't bother with another Dana44. Get a 60.
With a 460 and 40" Hawgs I don't think D44 hardware would last long.

LOL it will last, he has made the TTB last so a solid D44 will be fine

Yeah, but that was with a 300I6. The 460 he wants to swap in I'm thinking "SNAP!!"
