I am going to run a Powrloc in the front of my 76 Chevy. Its in a dana 60 with 4.10 gears. I am running a 513" Cadillac, th350, a np-203/205 doubler, and 44" Swampers. The general concensus on this board seems to be that the powrloc is better that most other LSD's but it still is inferior to a detroit or an ARB. I agree, but its what I got and need to make it work for at least one summer. My question is: "What can I do to make the Powrloc work better?" Has anyone done any trick Sh!t to this thing to make it work better? Other than replacing it with a locker :flipoff2: Machine work is right up my alley, if that is what needs to be done. Add Clutch Packs?........???

I mostly run muddy trails with a few big rocks thrown in, and lots of snow. No pavement at all.

Thanks for any help.

P.S. The only reason that Im running a powrloc is because that is what is currently in the 60.

Every Power-loc I've used would spin both tires even with one off the ground. Now mind you this is in mud/loose dirt. However you can do the same with a trac-loc, if you stuff an extra clutch in it. The power-loc should have belvile springs in it, flip one over on each side. Make sure it's not to tight, you just want to tighten it up just a little. I like the power-locs in a front 44, 1/2 the time they will slip before the u-joint/axle goes.
