MORE motor mounts problems getting them bolted up.

I did the driver side 1st and between me and a friend who is very mechanically inclined, we couldn't get the motor mounts to bolt up. We used a thick 2" x 1.5' board on end and jacked it up with a 2-1/2 ton jack to the front edge of the motor and haven't been able to get the bolt through the mounts and the fork. I have a 1" t-case drop since I went with a 241 Rock Trak t-case. Do you think I'll need to unbolt the trans mount? Should I 1st bolt up the new motor mount to the fork and then bolt in the 2 bottom bolts? I have about 2-1/2 hours with someone on the driver side mount alone and cannot get the bolt now through the mount, the mount is still up a little on 1 side and down on the other. Should I try jacking up the motor on the lower most part of the oil pan where the drain plug is. It seems like I might need to pull the motor forwards, how would you do that? I tried rachet straps, but they aren't helping much. Please help. I have a 8000i Warn winch, would anyone use this?
thanks,
Troy

Motor mounts can be a total pain. It was one of those kept trying finally got it deals. Call MORE see if they have advice.

unbolt the 4 nuts holding your trans to the crossmember and jack the trans up a little to level it out a little since you have the crossmember drop kit in there it is leaning the engine back and down and that is why you can't line up the holes

when we did mine on my cj granted thats not exactly the same but we had the motor hooked to a cherry picker then put the block mount on but only threaded the bolts in three or so threads so that is could wiggle around considerably. then we did the same thing to the frame mounts i think only guiding 2 of the bolts throught he frameand just threading ont he nuts a few threads. then we fished the big bolts through tieing the motor and frame mounts together. then the last two frame bolts then tightened it all up.

its a pain but sequence and leaving everything loose was the key to wiggling it all around while we were re-settling the motor into place befor we tightened anything completely up

and undo that tranny mount like was said

I got it with the help of a couple of my friends that came over last night and spend 3 hours getting the bolt through the fork and mount. Now on to the passenger side after my Fordyce run this weekend. Fun fun. We had to loose the trans mounts and the passenger side mount and wrestle with the motor to get the bolt to finally pass through. This is not a fun job. Do you think I'll be o.k. with a MORE drive side mount and a stock passenger side. My passenger side isn't that bad but the stocker looks to be 1/2" or so lower than the MORE mount.
